Larry is an author, speaker, coach, entrepreneur,
humanitarian, and family guy. After growing up in
a small mill town in rural western New York, he spent eight years with the US Army’s elite Special Forces, commonly known as the Green Berets. During this time, he was awarded Outstanding Non-Commissioned Officer of his battalion and attained the rank of
Staff Sergeant.
Larry has parlayed his unique experience of serving on Special Forces A-Teams to the business world. He is now Founder and CEO of BROUGHTON HOSPITALITY. Since its inception, his firm has received numerous awards for performance, and is considered a leader in the boutique hotel industry. He has also been awarded Ernst & Young’s prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year Award® and the National Veteran-Owned Business Association named him their Vetrepreneur® of the Year, while Entrepreneur Magazine included Broughton Hospitality in their Hot 500 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies.
Larry’s upbeat, creative approach to business has been featured in news articles from the Los Angeles Times to Entrepreneur Magazine, on national radio shows, and on every major television network.
He is co-founder of ToolsForSuccess.com, a high-octane, on-line, entrepreneurial mentoring and coaching program for the entrepreneur who aspires to create significant lasting legacies with their family, businesses and community.
Larry is the author of three upcoming books: The first is called "Leadership Lessons From A Green Beret." The second book, already receiving nation-wide attention, is called "Warriors In The Boardroom." The third book is called "Student Action Guide To Unconventional Leadership."
Larry lives in Irvine, CA with his bride, Suzanne; their daughter, Emily; and son, Ben. He has attended the Executive Program at prestigious Stanford University; studied Russian at the world-renowned Defense Language Institute; and studied Political Science at University of California, Santa Barbara and College of San Mateo.
